These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Deuteronomy 6:6-7
CWUMC Kids serves children and their families from birth through 5th grade. Our goal is to partner with parents in building and expanding spiritual and moral development within our children. We strive to provide a variety of programs and events to foster fun, fellowship, service and worship.
Our leaders follow and teach Orange Curriculum because of our belief in its philosophy. The color orange represents two primary relationships that influence kids and teenagers. When you take the light of the church (yellow) and combine it with the love of a family (red) you increase the potential to influence a kid’s life. Two combined influences make a greater impact than just two influences.
From infancy to preschool, we provide a God-centered environment filled with love, laughter and learning. Our trained staff and volunteers care for our little friends during Sunday services, Wednesday evening festivities and other church gatherings as requested. We consider our nursery ministry to be the beginning of your child’s spiritual journey and we take great joy in being a part of that.

When our church reopens, we offer Sunday School during our 10:30 am Sunday morning service. Children worship in the sanctuary with their families, gather at the alter for a special Children’s Time message and then are dismissed to Sunday School together on our lower level.
Our kids build great relationships with their Sunday School teachers and peers which are fostered by gathering based on the child’s school grade level (preK-5th grade). During small group time we encourage prayer request development, projects and in-depth discussions of our weekly lesson. During large group time we learn Bible stories, pray together and spend time completing Mission/Service work for our church and greater community.
We celebrate annual milestones based of grade level including communion, baptism, acolyting, Bibles and more.
We offer Children’s Worship for preschoolers through 5th grade students following the Children’s Time message at our 9:00 am Sunday morning service. Our children are led by incredible volunteers and focus on worship and Bible story topics. This is different material than what is taught during Sunday School.
3rd-5th grade social and service opportunities to build friendships while making a difference in our community!
